With names like Noir, Pete Oak, Notize, Sivesgaard, Runge, Minote and many others, the city of Aalborg seems to be the place in Denmark with the most talent at the moment compared to it’s rather small population. This week two new names are added to this list. Kornum & Karma debuts on Chuggy Traxx with their “Homage” to the 90′s house sound with organ bassline and a catchy vocal. UK man-of-the-moment, Low Steppa, has remixed the track and drops his trademark dirty UK bassline to it and fellow Aalborg residents Beatchuggers & Runge takes the track a bit deeper. The full package is available exclusively on Beatport from this week.
Didn’t discover this track until lately, where I stumbled upon it where it was featured in a aftermovie for an event. It’s really good, but what else would you expect from Crayon and Yuksek?
Cedric Zeyenne detects his deeper side of producing music and delivers a stunning and forward thinking deep house track “Feel You”. It convinces with soulful vocals by Australian songstress Alisa Fedele, groovy guitar licks and a pumping deep house beat pattern with a catchy organ bass line underneath.
NYC based Solidisco has cooperated with Nina Simone and 3 days ago they put “Feeling Good” on Soundcloud. It really kicks ass – the 50′s are back. Download for free here.
The insanely talented Hudson Mohawke just released yet another mastermind remix! This time its a remix on Duck Sauce’s NRG.
Amtrack ladies and gentle men, here with a deephouse version of Depeche mode’s Should Be Higher! The track reminds me of summer in Copenhagen!
Another remix of a fantastic classic! This time with a more modern and deep vibe! More of this please!!!
Loving this disco/80′s vibe 100s put in his newest release! If you haven’t heard about 100s yet, you need to check out his EP called IVRY out! Funny lyrics with a cool flow, and last but not least an interesting vibe!
Tropkillaz just put up an insane remix of Benny Benassi’s classic Back to the pump! Tropkillaz has been throwing around dope tunes the past year, and it doesn’t seem like they plan to stop their killing spree!
Good and old classic house tune “Don’t Call Me Baby” has been given a more modern touch by Motez celebrating Vicious Recordings 21 years birthday. If you haven’t heard it in your local Club yet go have a listen here and be ready cause this batboy is going to be everywhere!
It’s not always that the sum of two plusses is going to be double up on plusses – but in this case it is. Wicked-favorite Le Youth has remixed Tensnake’s Love Sublime and it is spot on! Go listen and turn up your speakers!
It’s been a while since we’ve taking Vindata into consideration – dunno if it’s our own fault, but at that time he was producing bigroom remixes of pop songs (which were nice for our school bar jobs). Chi-City boys Regulators have remixed “All I Really Need”, and it’s pretty freakin good.
