Are you comfortable, right there right there

Most of you guys have probably heard Justin Timberlake’s amazing album and most likely also the track ‘Let The Groove Get In’. We collected some remixes (those done so far – they might get many more with time) for you guys. And they’re actually pretty freaking good. We’ve got remixes from Sammy Bananas, Cad Illax, Presto and X KD.
Say Lou Lou – Julian (The Chainsmokers Remix)

With their latest, and most incredible, single ‘Julian’ the 21-year old twins Say Lou Lou has come with an awesome sequel to their first single ‘Maybe You’ (2012). The remix EP just came for free download from “à Deux records”, with remixes from Lancelot, HNNY and The Chainsmokers. We thought that this remix was the only one exciting enough to post.

This week’s mixtapes

As many of you guys we also listen to mixtapes from different artists and podcasts from portals. In our discovering we picked out some of the best from this and last week. First we have friend and co-worker Sven Francisco, actually, first recorded mixtape. We have booked him for Distortion which we look forward to. Next up is Viceroy’s b2b w. Vita Coco?, which shows another side of our friend – it’s more down to earth but still funky, and it of course shows that the guy can actually handle a mixer without trouble. Third mixtape is from Feinartig who we also booked for our scene at Distortion. This is their live mix from club Simons last friday where Wicked also was on the lineup. 4th and last mixtape is Chrome Sparks who delivers amazing and different kind of mixtapes. This one is for MTV and is, compared to the other, not deep house – in the same way at least.

LouLou Players (BE): Friday’s Guest Four
Earlier this month I held one of our parties here in Aalborg called ‘NEÅN’ that I host together with my 2 DJ buddies Runge and Kornum. This time our guest was the Belgian Producer and DJ ‘LouLou Players’. And I did a little interview with him for our ‘Friday’s Guest Four’ but it got postponed a bit – sorry for that!
Belgium’s LouLou Players have come a long way since being discovered by Sharam Jey nearly a decade ago. In the beginning LouLouPlayers consisted of members Kolombo and Jérôme Denis, and have since been whittled down to just Denis at the core, though the pair often still record together and also run LouLou Records in tandem.
This is what he’s playing at the moment, there are some serious bangers in here, so hopefully they’ll cure your hangovers – in case you suffer from a hard weekend
-Fapples- Love Dis Beat (LouLou Players remix) – Loulou rec
This is my new remix on the label I own with Kolombo, Loulou records.
Fapples are guyz from Kazakhstan, the original is a burner.. and the remix also I tried it several times, and the bassline is just fat!
- Kolombo & Sharam Jey – Non Stop – Bunny Tiger
This is what I call G-house! amazing sample, loud bassline, this is my secret tool when I’m playing.. but no secrets anymore, this shit will be out mid may, PLAY IT LOUD!
- Benedetto & Farina – Blow Out – Chilli Mint
This track from my homiez from south france is magic.. The rythmic destroyed all floors! I expected that track on loulou rec.. but i answer too late, shit! But I support it, i love it, and share it
- Nikitin – This My Shit – LouLou records
The upcoming loulou records is signed by one of my favorite russian producer: Nikitin.
All in the title of the track: THis my shit! and yes it is!
ImanoS x Life + Times – Trap Nation

Our amazing producer friends from Nonsens is riding the waves at the moment. Lately they’ve been remixing some of the biggest names – and this remix will give them another kick in the good direction. We’re talking about their remix of M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls”, which premieres in todays mixtape from Mad Decent’s ImanoS. The mixtape is produced for Jay-Z’s label “Life + Times” and is released in collaboration with Jay-Z’s recordlabel “ROC Nation”. The mixtape was done 3 weeks ago, so for those past weeks the mixtape has only been waiting for Shawn Corey Carter (Jay-Z)’s personal approval for the tracks in the mixtape. Finally it’s here featuring THREE danish acts Morten Breum, Faustix and Nonsens. Bombs out Denmark!
Tracklist:

Shlohmo
The 23-year-old LA native Henry Laufer, also known as the dj/producer “Shlohmo”, is yet another good example of how awesome and sexy lo-fi beat/love trap is! As the music indutry looks right now, independent music is very rare to get a hold on, and it seems like the comercial radios only play the same 10 songs. Artists like Shlohmo offers up this uniqueness that the mainstreem scene seems to have left out in the cold. If i were to illustate how sex would sound like if it was music, i would definately link up Schlohmos soundcloud page! Shlohmo is a part of the WEDIDIT collective, which also holds artists like RL Grime, Juj, Joseph, Groundislava, NonEpic, Elan, Zeroh, Jonwayne, D33J, Melonious Drunk, Dr. Blount and 2KWTVR.
Young Scooter – Columbia (Shlohmo remix)
Shlohmo – Bo Peep (Do you right) ft. Jeremih
Shlohmo – Don’t Say No ft. How to Dress Well
Jeremih – Fuck you all the time (Shlohmo remix)
Aaliyah feat. Drake – Enough Said (Shlohmo remix)
Nector: Friday’s Guest Four

Nector is a danish electronic music duo. They experiment with classic house, techno and nu-disco with a modern perspective. Funky house mixed with hypnotic and continuous bass based beats makes the sound of Nector. Their big passion for the electronic genre and their talent for sound design has given them the opportunity to create their own fusion between genres and also create their own sound universe. They chose the 4 tracks for this friday.
1. Hannulelauri – Super Monkey
Amazing groove! Hannulelauri keeps it cool and simple with a lot of small details and a life chancing bassline – very inspirig – Perfect for a slow, but pretty shagable booty shake.
2. Amtrac – The Scheme
Amtrac! We just discovered him and we already love him. He really mix up all the best genres and fucks up his vocals in a kinda new way. Check out the rest of his new awesome EP “The Scheme EP.
3. Louis La Roche feat. Ad Apt – Untrue
First we thought, why didn’t we do that? And then we realized that we couldn’t write lyrics, rap or sing! Well! We guess that Louis La Roche listened to Daft Punk’s “One More Time” and had the same thought. And he did it! An always nice auto tuned pop voice with some spicy english rap from Ad Apt ended out like this. We Louis La Roche! – Our Perfect summer tune !
4. Hot Chip – Night And Day (Dusky remix)
Hot Chip is a living legend. For us Dusky is as well. This dark remix just did it for us. Do you know the feeling of being in love and just have a big ice cube in your stomach just when a track drops? That was the feeling we had when this monster hit!
Crate Diggin!
So as TBS mentioned in his post the other day, the weather is starting to get warmer here in Denmark – and thank god for that. I can’t describe how much I’ve been longing for summer, sun, rooftop parties, Bbq’s etc. it also means that the festival season is just around the corner. I’m pretty stoked about the names that Distortion already has confirmed to their line-up, but I won’t give a rant about that now.
I’ve found some tracks for you, that I think you should give a listen. there aren’t any red thread in the tracks i’ll serve you today – but there’s a bit of everything, and hopefully something you’ll digg as well.
I’m a huge fan of Amine Edge, he just keeps spitting tracks and edits out that are just solid. I’ve been following him on SC for quiet a while now, and the mixtapes that he posts are filled with gems and treasures. To highlight one track that stands out from the rest of his work is impossible, but the other day, he posted an edit he made of “RÜFÜS – Take Me (AdaptOrDie Remix)” and it’s freakin great!
RÜFÜS – Take Me (AdaptOrDie Remix – Amine Edge Edit)
Next track is called ”Beam Me Up” (featuring Charlene Soraia & Scuba) and it’s the first official single from the debut album Getting Closer by Close, a new production alias from producer, DJ and label owner Will Saul. But it’s not the track I’ll share with you, it’s the remix from George FitzGerald who has given it some drums and a new bassline.
CLOSE – ‘Beam Me Up’ feat. Charlene Soraia & Scuba (George FitzGerald Remix)
As the sun is getting more influence on the sky, my track selection tend to get more Nu-Disco inspired. the other day I stumble across this banger of a summer tune from YUKSEK. It’s a Remix made of a track called ‘Right Now’ from spanish pop band called KOSTROK. Just give this a listen, it’s pure “summer in a can” for me.
KOSTROK “Right Now” – YUKSEK remix
While I am in that genre, I’ll also highlight this edit from the Swizz producer Mercury.
Mary Clark – Take Me I’m Yours (Mercury Edit)
Last but definitely not least, it’s a track from the 2 up and coming Danish producers/DJ’s Runge and Notize
Following in the heels of Sharam Jey, Kolombo and a like, the two danes Notize & Runge has taken the classic track ‘Love Rollercoaster’ by Ohio Players and turned it into a massive funky slice of bass oriented house music, perfect for the dance floor.
Ohio Players – Love Rollercoaster (Notize & Runge Bootleg)
I hope you found something useful and that you all enjoy your day off tomorrow
Cheers!
Monaberry Mondays
The thing about being a CBS student is, you gotta prioritize careerwise…
Since my bachelor graduation is closing in at a rapid pace, I find myself buried in more and more work, research, studying, you name it. And since Denmark, especially Copenhagen, is a ridiculously expensive place to live in, you’re pretty much forced to have a job. Reluctantly, I’m blessed with an awesome job which, on the other hand, almost fills all the remaining time I have left to f*ck around…
I guess what I’m trying to say is:
SORRY FOR BEING LATE!
That being said, spring/summer is steadily taking over in the cold city of Copenhagen – another reason to adjust the selection of music for this week (and the following weeks provided it stays warm/gets even warmer).
– TBS PICKS OF THE WEEK –
As stated in the headline, this post is all about Monaberry, a Halle-based label in the heart of Germany (surprise!). Monaberry has been my main-source when looking for top-notch Tech House, preferably the kind you play at Open Air locations or listen to if you need a little sun in your life.
Monkey Safari – Revolver Sundays
I’ve been a sucker for Monkey Safari ever since I heard “Those Dancing Days“ the first time. From that day, I pretty much bought every single of their releases and downloaded every mixtape and bootleg these guys shared with the public. On the other hand, their sets are my Shazam’s worst nightmare as tagging ID’s is pretty much impossible.
“Revolver Sundays” has been out for the past 4 months by now and is still one of my favorite jams. Especially the word “jam” describes this track perfectly as the massive break in the middle is one big Peter Frampton sample which provides a certain degree of playfulness to this otherwise rather static tech-house track.
Super Flu @ Beatport Live Berlin 31.10.2012
Since I couldn’t find the track as a stand-alone version I’ll have to finish this weeks post off with Mixtape by Monaberry ambassadors Super Flu. Just like the rest of the Monaberry family, these guys don’t really say much about themselves on Soundcloud, they rather let their music speak for them.
The song I’d advise you to pay most attention to kicks in at around 01:34:00. It’s called “Reeves“ and is the product of the combined forces of Super Flu and Andhim (which you might have catched at KB18 a couple of months ago).
Sorry I had to keep it rather “short” this time, I’ll make up for it eventually. For now though, this is all folks! Hope you’re having a blast with these two beauties (the mixtape itself is a true treasure-chest as well).
Don’t forget to LIKE and/or COMMENT if you have the chance!
Cheers!

Flight Facilities and a walk down memory lane

Last year Flight Facilities were October months recidents for Triple J which ment four mixtapes in one month. The result is very interesting and original. These four mixtapes goes through the last 40 years of (music-)history. Every hour is focusing on ten years in time. During each hour you will hear some of the most influential tracks combined with soundclips of the biggest news of the decade.
The guys did a big blogpost about how they looked through 40 years of music charts, selecting their essential tunes. The music is presented chronologically so you might image some challenges on the BPMs. If you want all the details about how this thing was put together I recommend you to go to http://flightfacilities.com/
The first mix is 1972 – 1982, the second 1982 – 1992, the third 1992 – 2002 and the final mix is 2002 – 2012. The previous first mixtapes has been released over the last couple of months, but the final one has just hit the web this week. Due to Soundclouds copyright issues the first mix is unfortunately not available currently, so enjoy the other three while you got the chance.
The first three mixes give us a great reminder of where dance music comes from. These first three hours is very chart-based and not that personal. The final mix give us a bit more of Flight Facilities and where their inspiration comes from. If you go to the Flight Facilities Soundcloud you can get aroud the huge tracklist for these tapes. Here they are:
